Delaware Beach Photographer
This maternity session was an absolute dream for a Delaware Beach photographer! When we began the planning process, mom mentioned that she would really love a beach setting for her session. I had the perfect spot in mind–a quiet beach where she and her husband could enjoy some privacy. Often, when people think of beach sessions during the summer, they imagine overcrowded spaces that are loud, and dotted with umbrella tops as far as the eye can see. But, I am here to reassure you that this does not have to be the case! There are plenty of beaches that are less utilized. And even more that tend to quiet in the evening hours, creating the most beautiful and tranquil scene.
A Beautiful Evening
Throughout the session, as we made our way down the beach, I got photos of mom on her own, along with photos of her with her husband. I make sure to incorporate both types of photos into a session, when possible. I want to showcase the beauty and strength of motherhood, along with the tender, joyful, and nuanced connections that are being created throughout this new journey.
This night, we were gifted with an absolutely gorgeous cotton candy sky, as I like to call it, with pinks and oranges that don’t even seem real. As the sun dipped below the horizon, we then took advantage of the picturesque sunset as a backdrop. It added a magical touch to the photos, making them even more special.
What made this session particularly heartwarming was that the couple got to spend quality time together, enjoying the beach, the sunset, and the company of each other. It was a truly special and intimate moment.
